In the product you should ensure you describe your product well, and include high resolution images, and in the description – this should be your main sales content. Include any information that you think users will want to know. Make sure you also update your content on a news or blog section regularly.

Websites need to be mobile responsive these days to make the cut. With mobile’s first index – this is incredibly important. You need to make sure that the user can enjoy the same experience on mobile as they can on desktop. The majority of searches these days happen on mobile phones, and you need to make sure you cater for those.

As good as your website looks, you need to make sure people find it on search engines. There are lots of things you need to take into account like the quality of the content, the keywords you insert and the density of it, the 301’s that you have in place, any internal links and a whole host of other things. You should think of all this before the site has launched.
As well as all of this, you need to make sure that you are constantly testing and improving your website. Install the correct analytics, and collect as much data as you can.
